Welcome one and all. Do you believe that Easter has been and gone - it was only Christmas yesterday!
Some great things happening in the shop in coming weeks and I am really, really excited about them all:
- the first is about a new class - Tania will be teaching Origami with her first class commencing on Saturday 29 May - as always the classes are on a first come first serve basis (a $10.00 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking);
- another stamping with Brenda class is now scheduled for May also for Saturday 29 May - these classes are proving to be very popular so book early;
- Quilling with Marie, and Iris Folding with Janet are very quiet at present so make the most of the opportunity and book a one on one class with either of these ladies;
- Paper Quilting with Michaela is, as always, very popular and Michaela is increasing her range of templates for you to choose from - the latest, which is very popular with the gentlemen, is a Bodice ummm; and
- Parchment with Shirley is always a draw card - as she continues to hone her skills and passes on the latest techniques to all her students.
Kaye (very capably) ran the shop on Thursday & Friday while Ron (also very capably) ran it on Saturday last week while I was in Brisbane at a Trade Expo. I was hopeing to come back with some new techniques for the Cuttlebug but unfortunately Provo Craft (the manufacturers) did not have anything new for it - they were however demonstrating a "Gyspy" which is a control centre for the Cricut machines. I really enjoyed my time there while attending the "teach the teacher" workshops run by Fiskars, Making Memories, K&Company, Docraft Creativity just to mention a few - if you want to see what is the latest out of America and the UK just come and visit with us in the shop.
As from June this year I have signed up with Docraft (a leading UK company) and will be selling their magazines (for an astonishing $5.00 only) and all the product to make the cards in the magazine. The mags and new products will be in the shop every two months commencing in June. Docraft have just launched their "Forever Friends" series in papercraft products, for those of you who are sewers also, you may recognise this name from counted cross stitch paterns.
