Hi all, this is only the Dragon in the home persona - just to seek your support. If I can guarantee at least 20 items for a dedicated Papercraft Section the show will actually set up a dedicated section so your lovely works of art won't have to go into the Miscellaneous Section. I am pretty sure that I can guarantee that with your help.
I will be sponsoring the section to ensure that the Papercraft Section will come to fruition. So just let me know via this forum if you are happy to provide cards, scrapbook pages or just other items made of paper that you would like to see entered in the Royal Canberra Show to be held in February 2010.

Hi Anne,
Great idea. I don't like being miscellaneous and I would love a papercraft section in the Canberra Show. I'm in.
Thanks Michaela

I would love to be a part of this. Every time I go to the Canberra Show I always wonder how good it would be to have a papercraft section.

Are you able to enter several in the show. For eg, an iris folding piece as well as a paper quilting piece?
I still would love to enter even if you could only do one. I'm going to be having some time off work for the next 12mths so I can really concentrate and make this fantastic.

Hi Donna, you sure can - you can enter as many pieces and all or any category. How come you have 12 months off?

to be a stay at home mum again. I have 3 children 7,4 and 2 and fulltime daycare and afterschool care was getting too expensive. So I'll be home until at least Sept 2010 if not longer so my middle child can go to school in 2011 and then it will be one in fulltime day care.
i'm getting excited. just going to get myself into a routine first though with the girls.

Anne, I have just read the fine print for the 2010 Canberra Show Craft Papercraft section. It doesn't seem to allow Quilting papercraft nor Iris Folding type of stuff. Can you somehow clarify with the organises etc whether those are allowed. They would be the only things I would be entering as that's the only type of papercraft I can do and enjoy.
I have ideas already but if it won't be accepted by them then I won't start on them (if that makes sense).

Hi Donna, item 711 is a "catch all" there was supposed to be a "catch all" in the Non Professional (with less than 2 years experience) but it seems to have slipped through the cracks - I will be a bit more organised next year and all the appropriate categories will be included. Have a good one.

So does that mean I can enter the 2010 canberra show with iris folding or quilting cards?? Sorry the item numbers don't make much sense to me. I'm soooo clueless.

Hi Donna, the short answer is yes - ALL card types will be accepted under that particular number.
Kindest Regards
